thou
silence,
O
God :
hold
not
thy
peace
, and be not
still, O
God.

God, don't
keep
silent.
Don't

And don't
be still, God.
For, lo
, thine
enemies make
a
tumult:
and
they
that
hate thee
have lifted up the
head
.
For, behold
, your
enemies are
stirred
up.
Those
who
hate you
have lifted up their
heads
.
They have
taken
crafty
counsel
against thy
people ,
and
consulted
against thy
hidden
ones.
They conspire
with
cunning
against your
people .
They
plot
against your
cherished
ones.
They
have
said,
Come, and let
us
cut
them off
from
being
a nation ;
that the name of Israel may be no more in
remembrance
.
"
Come, "
they
say,
"
and let's
destroy
them as
a nation ,
That the name of Israel may be remembered
no more. "
For they have consulted
together with one consent:
they are
confederate
against thee:
For they have conspired
together with one mind.
They form
an
alliance
against you.
The tabernacles
of Edom ,
and the Ishmaelites; of
Moab, and the Hagarenes
;
The tents
of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites
;
Gebal, and
Ammon, and Amalek; the
Philistines
with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia
with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Assur
also is joined with them :
they have holpen
the children of Lot. Selah.
Assyria
also is joined with them .
They have helped
the children of Lot. Selah.
Do unto
them as unto
the
Midianites;
as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook
of
Kison:
Do to
them as you
did
to
Midian,
As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river
Kishon;
Which
perished at Endor :
they
became as dung for the earth.
Who

Make their nobles like Oreb ,
and like
Zeeb :
yea
, all their princes as
Zebah ,
and as
Zalmunna :
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb ;
Yes
, all their princes like

Who said, Let us take to
ourselves
the
houses
of
God
in
possession.
Who said, "
Let us take possession Of
God's
pasturelands
. "
O
my God, make them like a
wheel
; as
the
stubble
before the wind.
My God, make them like tumbleweed
; Like
chaff
before the wind.
As the fire burneth
a
wood
, and
as the flame setteth
the mountains on fire ;
As the fire that
burns
the
forest
, As the flame that
sets
the mountains on fire ,
So persecute
them with thy
tempest, and make
them afraid
with thy
storm.
So pursue
them with your
tempest, And terrify
them with your
storm.
Fill their faces with shame;
that they may seek thy
name, O
LORD
.
Fill their faces with confusion,
That they may seek your
name, Yahweh
.
Let them be confounded
and troubled
for
ever;
yea
, let them be put
to
shame,
and perish :
Let them be disappointed
and dismayed
forever.
Yes
, let them be confounded
and perish ;
That men
may know that thou
, whose name alone
is JEHOVAH
, art
the most high over all the earth.
That they
may know that you
alone
, whose name is Yahweh
, Are
the Most High over all the earth.
