Hear, Israel: you
are
to pass over the
Jordan this day, to go in to dispossess
nations greater and mightier than yourself
, cities great and fortified
up to the
sky
,
Hear, O
Israel: Thou
art
to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess
nations greater and mightier than thyself
, cities great and fenced
up to heaven
,
a people great and tall, the sons
of the Anakim
, whom you
know
, and of whom you
have
heard say, Who can stand before the sons
of Anak ?
A people great and tall, the children
of the Anakims
, whom thou
knowest
, and of whom thou
hast
heard say, Who can stand before the children
of Anak !
Know
therefore this day, that Yahweh
your
God is he who
goes
over before you
as a devouring
fire ;
he will
destroy them, and he will
bring them down before you
: so shall
you
drive them out, and make
them to
perish
quickly, as Yahweh
has
spoken
to
you
.
Understand
therefore this day, that the
LORD
thy
God is he which
goeth
over before thee;
as a consuming
fire he shall
destroy them, and he shall
bring them down before thy
face
: so shalt
thou
drive them out, and destroy
them quickly, as the
LORD
hath
said
unto
thee
.
Don't
speak in your
heart, after that Yahweh
your
God has
thrust
them out from before you
, saying, For my righteousness Yahweh
has
brought me in to possess this land ;
whereas
for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh
does
drive them out from before you
.
Speak not
thou
in thine
heart, after that the
LORD
thy
God hath
cast
them out from before thee
, saying, For my righteousness the
LORD
hath
brought me in to possess this land :
but
for the wickedness of these nations the
LORD
doth
drive them out from before thee
.
Not for your
righteousness, or for the uprightness of your
heart, do
you
go in
to possess their land ;
but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh
your
God does
drive them out from before you
, and that he may establish
the word which Yahweh
swore
to
your
fathers, to
Abraham, to
Isaac, and to
Jacob.
Not for thy
righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine
heart, dost
thou
go to possess their land :
but for the wickedness of these nations the
LORD
thy
God doth
drive them out from before thee
, and that he may perform
the word which the
LORD
sware
unto
thy
fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Know
therefore, that Yahweh
your
God doesn't
give
you
this good land to possess it for your
righteousness; for you
are
a stiff-necked
people.
Understand
therefore, that the
LORD
thy
God giveth
thee
not
this good land to possess it for thy
righteousness; for thou
art
a stiffnecked
people.
Remember, don't
forget, how you
provoked
Yahweh
your
God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that you
went
forth
out of the land of Egypt, until you
came to
this place, you
have been rebellious against Yahweh
.
Remember, and
forget not
, how thou
provokedst
the
LORD
thy
God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou
didst
depart
out of the land of Egypt, until ye
came unto
this place, ye
have been rebellious against the
LORD
.
Also in Horeb you
provoked Yahweh
to wrath, and
Yahweh
was angry with you to destroy
you.

When I was gone up onto
the mountain
to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which Yahweh
made with you, then I stayed
on
the mountain
forty days and forty nights ;
I did
neither eat bread nor drink water .

me, Arise, get you
down quickly from hence; for your
people whom

quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.

Furthermore Yahweh
spoke
to
me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiff-necked
people:

let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under the
sky;
and I will make of you
a nation mightier and greater than they.

So I turned and came down from the mountain

burning
with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

I fell down before Yahweh

because of all your sin
which you
sinned, in doing that
which
was
evil
in the sight of Yahweh
, to provoke him to anger.
And
I fell down before the
LORD

because of all your sins
which ye
sinned, in doing wickedly
in the sight of the
LORD
, to provoke him to anger.
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, with
which
Yahweh
was angry
against you to destroy you. But Yahweh
listened
to
me that time also.

was very angry with Aaron to destroy

had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, grinding
it very small, until it was as fine
as dust: and I cast the dust of

rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh

have been rebellious against Yahweh

because Yahweh
had said he would destroy you.
Thus
I fell down before the LORD
forty days and forty nights ,
as
I fell down at
the
first;
because the
LORD
had said he would destroy you.
I prayed to
Yahweh
, and said, Lord Yahweh
, don't
destroy your
people and your
inheritance, that
you
have
redeemed through your
greatness, that
you
have
brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
I prayed therefore
unto
the
LORD
, and said, O
Lord GOD
, destroy not
thy
people and thine
inheritance, which
thou
hast
redeemed through thy
greatness, which
thou
hast
brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
Remember your
servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; don't
look to
the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin ,
Remember thy
servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not
unto
the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin :
lest the land whence you
brought
us out say, Because Yahweh
was not able to bring them into the land which he promised to
them, and because he hated them, he has
brought them out to kill
them in the wilderness.

LORD

brought them out to slay
them in the wilderness.
Yet they are your
people and your
inheritance, which you
brought
out by your
great
power and by your
outstretched
arm.

inheritance, which thou
broughtest
out by thy
mighty
power and by thy
stretched
out
arm.
