They brought in
the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt offerings

He appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Yahweh
, and to celebrate
and to thank and praise Yahweh,
the God of Israel:

Asaph the chief, and second
to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom,

with psalteries and with harps; and
Asaph with cymbals ,
sounding
aloud
;
Asaph the chief, and next

and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but
Asaph made
a
sound
with cymbals;
and

before the ark of the covenant of God.

Then on that day David first ordained
to
give
thanks
to Yahweh,
by
the hand of Asaph and his brothers
.
Then on that day David delivered
first this
psalm
to thank
the LORD
into
the
hand of Asaph and his brethren
.
Oh
give thanks to
Yahweh
, call on
his name ;
Make known his doings
among the peoples
.
Give thanks unto
the
LORD
, call upon
his name ,
make known his deeds
among the people
.
Sing to
him, sing praises
to
him ;
Talk you
of all his marvelous
works.
Sing unto
him, sing psalms
unto
him ,
talk ye
of all his wondrous
works.
Glory you
in his holy name ;
Let the heart of them rejoice who
seek Yahweh
.
Glory ye
in his holy name :
let the heart of them rejoice that
seek the
LORD
.
Seek you
Yahweh
and his strength ;
Seek his face forever
more
.
Seek the
LORD
and his strength ,
seek his face continually
.
Remember his marvelous works that he has
done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth ,

done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth ;
You
seed of Israel his servant, You
children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
O
ye

He is Yahweh

Remember
his covenant forever,

When you
were but a
few men
in

from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people .

, he reproved kings for their sakes,

Declare his glory among the nations,

For great is Yahweh
, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.

are idols: But Yahweh
made the heavens.

Honor
and majesty
are before
him:
Strength and gladness are in his place.

Ascribe
to
Yahweh

relatives
of the peoples

the
LORD

kindred

.

a
sound, and with musical
instruments of God .

porters
.
All the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
